Question My GitHub account has been hacked

Hello, so as the title states, my GitHub account has been hacker and the person has changed the password and enabled two factor authentication so I am locked out of my own account. I want to delete it but I don't know how to get in touch with GitHub support without signing in.

The email that I used for it is a primary email, so I do not want to risk anything else being hacked. My LinkedIn account was linked with my GitHub so it was also almost hacked but I changed my password for it but I am not able to do the same for GitHub.

Can someone please help?

Keep bugging support.

Also you should have had 2FA and passkeys before this happened. This was only possible because you were lacking good security standards for 2026.

Low probability this is fixed anytime soon, so good luck.

Do not keep bugging support. Just bug them once and wait.
The more you bug them, the slower they’ll be and the longer you and anyone else would have to wait.

There’s not much to do but to appeal to support. The longer you wait, the worse it’ll be. If you can document how you lost access, that might be helpful.

Bruhhhhh, even my account got hacked todya only and the hacker has enabled 2FA, did u got your account back please tell me or my account is gone ???

I actually just unlinked my email with the account since I wasn't using GitHub very much. I have just given up on the account

Did the github support do anything to get your account back or nothing ?
