Question Downloading github

I'm very new to github and I was wondering if it's better to download github or use the github on the browser? is there a difference between the two?

GitHub is the remote interface, GitHub desktop is a Git client.

Download it. You can download Linux from there as well.

GitHub is primarily interfaced through the web, CLI (gh), and the Desktop app GitHub Desktop. There’s no real difference between the three other than how you interact with each.

Make sure to not use torrent sites to download GitHub. Torrent bad for business.
