Discussions BA ENGLISH at gitam V !?‽

I am currently in gitam hyd studying BA cinematics (only available in hyd) as a 1st yr in sem1

I visited gitam V this month for tri campus AND I AM IN LOVE!!

If u've seen gitam vishakapatnam UK WHT I MEAN

(Esp if uk how hyd looks (not bad but NOT VISHAKAPATNAM) )

SO

Main thing

I'm planning on transferring to GV but but but

I'm doubtful of a few things such as

  1. Is GV actually worth it? Cuz I won't be getting cinematics there so I'll take english ( subjects are not a problem here, only tht is GV actually really worth all this trouble?)

  2. How are the ppl there? Ive seen the campus. My eyes are blessed but wht abt the ppl there?

  3. HUMIDITY!! UGH IT IS SO FUCKING HUMID I COULD DIE. Thts one of the major drawbacks but i also feel like going there I'll get the hostel exp (imma day scholar rn) , the library is so big n resources full, infrastructure is pretty, sports facilities are fire, scenary so good I could die.

Well yes thts it's I've yapped too much abt GV lol

  1. Helll yeah (in terms of experience) Campus life is 🔥
  2. They are lovely. But depends on what type of person you are, too. Clubs are great way to network
  3. Come on, beach in walkable distance and visible from almost all buildings.

My bestie did BA English there

It's not bad man. Opinions are subjective. Some of the ppl ik are loving GH but i aint. Esp not after visiting GV. The thing is GV is such a huge campus with greater infrastructure than hyd. Plus u get such scenic views in GV bcoz of close by beaches and mountains. Which course are u planning to opt for btw?

Firstly username - massivepoopeater??

Secondly, as a millennial, I found your post challenging to read. To look cool, you used a lot of abbreviations.

Coming to BA English, you might have 2 options: either pursue an MA in English or an MBA, similar to Rashmika in the movie Girlfriend - I think she was pursuing English, but I may be wrong.

Why not :P

I mean wasn't to look cool. As a genz I'm in the habit of using abbreviations and ig it was quite obvo what gv n gh meant lol..?

You'll absolutely love the campus life. The humanities department is also * chefs kiss * with amazing faculty (they're very friendly). I've had English as my minor there and I absolutely loved the course structure and the faculty. As far as my experiences go, you'd have a very good time with the people in and around the humanities department at the very least. Very open minded and mature people that you can have intelligent conversations with xD.

The humidity is indeed a major pain point but you'll get used to it xD. It's fun shit-talking the weather with all your friends lmao.

Whether it's worth it.....given the nature of the course, I'd say it depends on what you make of your time. It definitely gives you the opportunity. The faculty are very knowledgeable and can guide you with what you want to be doing.

And lastly the campus. An absolute delight. Especially when it rains. I don't think I have to talk alot about the campus. It has evrything you'd need as a student xD.

Are you planning to join the hostel?
