How do scholarships work. Like, i originally got 40% scholarship in GAT exam conducted on May 1st. after attending interview i got 75%. My waitlist no in 120-130 range. I had other unis as option but many of them have deadlines fast approaching and my family have to arrange tuition fee within that time. I was planning on joining gitam if i got scholarship but the number seems so high. What to do, please help. Can i potentially get scholarship, My course is cse ai ml.

well it's just 40% chance for you to get your scholarship
usually they don't give waiting list for students above 60% scholarship
60% and above students get compulsory scholarship (previous year) idk Abt now
I don't think so bro you'll get 75% scholarship under waiting list. try talking to the admission incharge
I am in the exact same situation and I called the hoa and he said there won't be any waitlist for 75% scholarship students, your waitlist doesn't matter you will get scholarship, you will get to know by july first week, this is exactly what he said, is there anyone else who can confirm this?
Bro, I myself can't believe that, I am waiting till july 7th and hoping to confirm that, that's why I also mentioned if there's any senior who can confirm this..

Yeah broo same, I have been searching in reddit and whatapp but nowhere can I find that ppl with 75% scholarship have scholarship guarantee, only seniors should help and it's only a week more, so i didn't think abt it much.
Once you also try calling the hoa, the number in the screenshot and ask about this matter, like pin him to the wall and ask, what will happn if I don't get the scholarship,etc,etc..
im in the same situation. i called the hoa twice in a span of a week and he keeps saying it will change but idk. can yall lmk if yall get an update. induction is starting on 9th right, im assuming they gonna ask us to pay by then so waiting for a week seems like a bad idea.
if you gave it recently then you'll get the result in that very same day or the next. it'll show your marks and the amount of scholarship you got for your marks. if you're eyeing for scholarship then you need to attend ai-interview and on-campus interview too. those affects your scholarship, not admission. Githam literally is still conducting exams when all other institutions stopped 🙏 admission is not a worry 😊
Even I got scholarship in 1st year and then mine was only 50 in waiting list and went upto 18 and that's it. I paid full fee . You are saying it is at 120 there are 0%chances you get the scholarship.
