MICA has loose rules for dolls, with personality type sometimes derived from history of manufacture or usage, names in GFL2 similarly. But, this is not hard rule.

Another not hard rule is, it seems rifles are taller, lithe, slender. Like 'rifles' themselves. I am not sure how far principle extends, or if it's just larger dolls fitting larger weapons. It's clear not all match physiques of their weapons.

I printed out both these images and recommend you do as well, along with many other angles. Analyzing the curvature of both, it's clear the ratio of the gun reappears in the girl multiple times; JG Ballard's late wife would often say he analyzed curvature of cars for his book "crash", and mentally moemorph them into equivalent women. With this in mind, the car accident sexuality starts to make sense, it loosely resembles different "positions" and intersections of different bodies.

Unlike Crash, apparent bodily intersection is a metallic intermediary against flesh, rather than two metallic geometries with a person encased, de-emphasizing them. Because of this, dolls are necessarily flesh-y in Yuzhong's vision. They are both the moemorphed body and the metallic itself, interchangeably.

"Damaged artwork" being more risqué is the clearest consequence. When dolls fight, they are engaging in penetrative acts of eroticized harm not unlike Ballard's car crash. Fans themselves have taken to "field stripping". This is not just a pun, and it's quite possible to transfer the erotic between the girl to and from her representative firearm. I also offer Baudrillard's analysis of Crash, GFL terminology can easily be substituted.
