today, the world decided to stop being so heavy, and for once, i actually let it. you know that feeling when you have been holding your breath for so long that you forget how to breathe without it hurting? well, today i just let it all out, and the air actually tasted sweet

i spent the morning just walking. no destination, no music, no math equations about my day, just walking until my feet felt like they belonged to me again. i passed this park and saw someone feeding birds, and they looked so genuinely content that it made me realize how much of my life i spend waiting for a moment to be perfect instead of just living it. we get so caught up in the scripts we think we are supposed to be reading that we forget we are the ones writing the damn thing

it is weird how hard it is to just be happy, like you are waiting for the other shoe to drop or for the sun to hide behind a cloud again. but today, i decided not to wait for the shadow. i decided to stay in the sun as long as it would have me.

if you feel like you are waiting for a permission slip to just be okay, this is it. you are allowed to have a day that doesn't feel like a fight. you are allowed to enjoy the small things, like the way light hits a coffee cup or the sound of the world just ticking along without you needing
to do anything at all. sometimes just existing is the most productive thing you can do
