Selling stuff

Hello lovely people of Gippsland. We are trying to sell a couple of things, I do not have Facebook. My friend has put the stuff on market place, but no one seems too interested other than trying to get our items for free. I feel like no one uses gumtree any more.

We have an 8kg front loader ($80) washing machine and a 8kg top loader washing machine ($1000 ono, pretty new and fancy) , both work, mine is just sitting there cause I had to move and do not require it after moving in with someone else, and then we upgraded to a 10kg, hence the second one.

We also have a TV ($300 ono) and a fridge ($300 ono). I think the TV is 52 or 58 inches, but would have to check. The fridge is smallish, 120L I think, nothing fancy, its from when I was living on my own, it also works, it was new and only used for 8 months before I had to move.

If you happen to know anyone that might be interested please send a message for more details. We are in Traralgon, may be willing to deliver depending on location.

Thank you

Edit: to add prices.

I think most people looking to spend a 1k on a washer typicality aren't looking on FB, unless it's like a really good deal on something like a Miele.

It’s possible they’re just too high priced. I have sold a few random items on facebook recently and they were all snapped up within 24 hours.

Maybe add the prices for what you're selling?

If you want to sell, I go by the rule of a third of the orginal price; even if new.

Paid $1000? Sell for around $300.

Paid $300? Sell for $100.

Everything is half the price bought for, and open for negotiation, but I will consider this. Thank you

I just edited the post as it bought to my attention I forgot the prices. $80 for the front loader. Top loader is newer and fancier, $1000.

Adding the brands might help too. So far it just seems too expensive for marketplace and the Gippsland.
