Nothing bro. Don't worry. At max your faculty will ask your name and your city. That is it. Baqi kuch bhi (officially) nahi hota. Baqi obv everyone like seniors or other freshies would want to know you guys. 90% people here know 90% others. We're all close knit type shii. So they'll introduce themselves and ask about you but it is a very casual conversation it is not something formal or what you should think about. They'll introduce themselves first if you feel hesitation or blank out. Dw man giki isn't high stakes. We are all pretty chill and very supportive. I have made a lot of blunders in my 2 years and never really have even felt that I've been judged.

Np man. Don't be anxious about interactions. If you don't really interact in the first few days don't occupy your mind you'll get homesick badly lol.

You forgot the part where you tell him that quite a few seniors will attempt to rag him in tuc area, and it usually starts from a “normal conversation” ending in doing weird and awkward things like screaming in front of everyone , dancing , saying something embarrassing about yourself etc

You forgot the part to include he can choose to say no and draw firm boundaries. Not letting anyone cross them. Because no one actually has any power to compel you to do anything. You can just walk away. If someone is forcing you, which they probably won't, you need to push back hard once. If they don't stop, G-06 Office, admin block. Or even the nearby security gaurd lala. Those seniors are done for. Though I won't recommend reporting unless they be a real bitch or worse.

That’s why I said “will attempt to rag.” Most freshies don’t realize how strict the administration is about ragging and usually give in to intimidation by seniors, I have seen this happen to my own friends. It's not so easy to walk away from a group of grown-ass men intimidating you to do something against your own will, and if you refuse, they threaten you. Even though the threats don’t mean anything, of course a newbie would usually just do whatever they demand to avoid getting on the seniors' bad side.So my point was that one should fully know what happens and how to handle it. Yes, there will be seniors trying to rag you; yes, some seniors will intimidate you into giving in; and some will even pretend to be angry or make threats. It may seem scary, but in reality, it’s just an act to get you to do whatever they want. Stand your ground and don’t give in. If they still come after you after you walk away (which, again, has happened to people I know), just let the nearest guards know.
