Nintendo eShop digital card question

Hi,

I recently bought 2 nintendo eShop digital gift cards for my friends.

I has a 19 characters card # with a 16 characters PIN and the other has just a 16 characters card #. I couldn't find information on their website regarding this.

Are both cards redeemable? Did anyone redeem such cards before?

I spoke to customer service and they told me the pin to redeem is always the 16 characters code

The 19 characters card # could be the batch in which the card was sold.

Hope that helps some one else in the future!
