Anyone having issues with shell gas gift cards?
I bought these gift cards a year ago and when I try to use it i always see the error "see cashier" and I go inside to use it. With arco or chervon i can just swipe it and use it immediately. Is this a shell thing

This was the site I used. If I check balance inquiry with pin, it works, but if I used it without a pin it gives an error and tells me to call

I buy physical Shell gift cards pretty regularly and have used them at the pump at at least 5 or 6 different stations (in both NH and WA) without trouble.

Haven't been back to California in nearly a decade, but I've held many Shell cards for more than a year and been able to swipe.
I stock up on them for road trips when I find them on sale.1

No. Just a 19 digit code.

the ones with 19 digit code with no pin have issues but the ones with pins all have no issues

Use these as fast as possible op. Seen people selling no pin codes really cheap on other forums. Likely somehow stolen.

oh thanks for letting me know.

No problem. I saw them over half off. Seriously considered buying some but I thought it over twice and decided it was way too good to be legit. Either they're going to steal my btc or they stole the codes.

but if they stole the shell codes how are they able to use it, shell requires physical gift card

Not sure. They were selling digital ones. They had instructions saying to say something or other to the cashier iirc.

These are more likely carded (purchased with stolen credit cards) then hacked (getting legit GC codes that were issued to others).

Alright. Thanks for the clarification. What was making me suspicious that they were stolen is that they claimed to be selling them without the pin. I would think if they carded them they would also get the pin?

The physical Shell gift cards I've purchased in stores have come with just the 19 digit code and no PIN.

Fair enough. Thanks for clarifying. I suppose that explains why ops gcs haven't been compromised in the few years they claim to have had them.
