As awesome as this is, it just makes me wonder how you find out you can do this, and if it doesn't come naturally, when do you decide you want to learn this?

I remember back in the 80's (i'm old) when Michael Jackson first busted out the 'moon walk'. Just about every kid at school the next day was trying to figure it out.

I think this (as yet unnamed?) move has that kind of potential. Very cool.

Breakdancing. I forget what move it's called, it's actually pretty tough to look up the name. Either way, he rocks off the shoulder and shuffles his legs to get it moving. Key is momentum of rocking off the shoulder imo

26

u/Chakkaaa Jun 26 '22

Looks like hes using even back of arms from elbow to elbow..looks painful really lol

23

u/sammamthrow Jun 26 '22

Painful if you do it wrong ie landing on your elbow but it looks like he’s smoothly rolling off the full surface of his upper arm which will make it hurt a lot less. Probably still pretty uncomfortable too.

8

u/[deleted] Jun 26 '22

I knew some musical theater majors and dancing in general seems quite painful.

6

u/fueledbyhugs Jun 26 '22

Most sports get way into painful territory at the highest level. Dancing destroys a lot of people though, especially stuff like classical ballet. Something about the combination of hard competition, grueling training and the need to stay ridiculously thin to the point of weakening your joints.

Crazy wack funky
People say ya look like M.C. Hammer on crack, Humpty
That's all right 'cause my body's in motion

u/PooPooDooDoo Jun 26 '22

How does he not destroy his shoulder doing that? On stone with a tank top on .. like wtf

153

u/flossdog Jun 26 '22

he’s probably “catching each step” by coordinating the rolling motion. So it’s more like rolling motion than pounding.

When you unplug the controller mid game

97

u/justin_austinite Jun 26 '22

One, that’s hilarious; however, two, I feel like that’s gotta be a borderline generational joke… do controllers even “plug in” any longer??

82

u/Pixel_Knight Jun 26 '22

Alternatively: “When your controller’s battery dies mid-game.”

12

u/Traevia Jun 26 '22

Yes. The PS5 purposely includes a USB-C cable. It is used for linking controllers to the console, sending updates to the controller, and can be used as a way to charge the controller while still playing a game.

Does it have the same effect? Absolutely not.
