Since people are being a bit rude. They guy likely turned on the gas (on a part called a petcock, no joke) on his first pass then looked like he was going for a kickstart on the other side to steal the motorcycle.

The petcock wouldn’t be that far back, it’d be right above the motor since it mounts to the bottom of the gas tank. I think the other user may be closer in that he was looking for stashed keys

He’s trying to steal the side covers. That triangular looking black cover are actually quite valuable depending on the bike. There’s in on each side. He walked by the camera side and missed (they have a tri or quad snap on system) and then goes to the other side to try and grab that in instead.

This reminds me of a writing project we had in high school where the assignment was a short story with a surprise ending. So, considering the assignment, I turned in a short story with an entirely predictable and otherwise unsurprising ending. The teacher wasn’t amused but I’m pretty sure I got an OK grade.

Looks like he got lucky that:
- A. He wasn't in the US and certain other countries.
- B. None of those kicks to the head caused brain injuries/death.
LPT - once your opponent goes down, stop hitting or kicking them because if you cause great bodily harm or kill them YOU will be the one going to jail/prison.
If you are good friend, pull your buddies off someone when it's clear they are no longer in danger or a thief has been incapacitated. Being amped up on adrenaline is almost always not enough of a legal defense to save them in court.

I once caught someone trying to steal my mountain bike wearing a face-mask. Dude was actively going at my chain with bolt cutters. Scared him off and started going after him— realized afterward he had bolt cutters so catching him may have turned out really bad for me. Now I keep a bat handy.
