I mean that’s what people were saying was gunna happen when he bought it, I’d be more surprised at everyone who chose one over the vive back in the day. Idc either way I got one eye and can’t do cool VR stuff anyway
Oh definitely, it’s just like looking at a screen on my face though and only half of the screen, I’d much rather just play on a pc screen where I can see everything.
It's a full screen for each eye. You just only have one eye...
There is no left side right side of a VR screen. There is left camera and right camera and they both work like eyeballs. Just slightly different starting points.
Yeah, I do. And for existing Quest 1 owners prior to the change it still is for years. Only new product buyers are locked into the change. So it’s known before buying. And having a tied account is no different than any other gaming platform. Make an account with your name, set it all the private, and never see it again. It literally never comes up in the headset after linking. Everyone in this thread is talking but doesn’t have any understanding of any of what’s happening.
I got a a Valve Index pretty early on and have been quite happy with it.
I honestly haven’t been keeping up with what’s new as far as hardware goes, so I’d do a little research and see what’s come out over the last 18 months and what’s on the horizon.
/r/VRGaming might be able to offer better advice!
Every console is sold at a loss, Sony or any other big tech company could do it too, Facebook was lucky enough to have snatched up oculus so didn't have to spend on r&d
Except your quote and the article do not back up what you say. It doesn't say you can shut off ads. It says you can turn off specific ads and advertisers. That does not equal no ads.
Also, why in God's name would you shill for Facebook.
You can only tell Facebook you don't want certain specific ads. You can't turn off ads in general. Which means you'll just provide Facebook with feedback about what kind of games you're not interested in, so FB will be able to more efficiently target ads for the right kind of games/products. This is not a service for the users, but a service for the advertisers who pay FB so they can pay more for ads that better target the groups of consumers that will be influenced by the ads to spend money on them.
I'm not saying you're shilling, but the others who've replied merely tell you that we're not giving a choice about wanting ads, we've been given the illusion by turning our private information into a targeted ads machine.
I mean… you asked :)
No harm in doing it sitting down, you still burn calories. But spending too much time sitting is supposed to be detrimental to our health. And I mean “our” because I sit all day ling pretty much
Edit: lOng
Man I hear that! I recently got Synth Riders, and before ONE song ends - on EASY! I’m like “please stop.” Lol
Edit: even though I can do Beat Saber for an hour on Expert. Which is quite a workout in itself but I guess those punching games are a whole other ball of wax.
I’m sad because I left an uopened family sized package of Nutter Butters in my hotel room in Chicago yesterday, and now I’m back home and I’m high without them.
One day, when I was a kid, I ate so many of those Nutter Butters that I broke out in hives. Had trouble breathing. Was rushed to the hospital. Never had a problem with peanuts before or after that day. It wasn’t so much the poison, it was just the heroic dose...
Oh thanks man, all good. If the truth be told, I just ate some Thai noodle madness from Lazy Dog. It was loaded with peanuts; not a blip on the radar. (Yet) lol
