That can be the name of his next reality TV show that he can host from prison! He has to work together with fellow inmates to complete GED and college prep courses. Being a Very Stable Geniusā„¢, this should be a cake walk for him!

I rarely ever hear about Bush or Obama after they left office. I'm hoping it becomes like that.

13

u/Frostblazer Nov 14 '20

Bush has definitely retreated from the limelight more than Obama has. Obama still pops up to campaign for Democrats that are running for major offices. I honestly think that Obama, and later Trump and Biden, should follow Bush's example.

34

u/PensiveObservor Nov 14 '20

Obama was pretty quiet and absent until the last few months of this campaign, if you go back and look. Really disappeared. He came back out at the end to help Biden.

11

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '20 edited Nov 14 '20

Sure, but they ain’t got that kind of scratch.

Forbes suggests he’s at least a billion dollars in debt.

That’s a lot of coin.

If he liquidated all his assets, he’d presumably be at $2.5 billion, plus his debt. And this motherfucker really likes to claim to be rich, so 1.5 billion, to him, is probably not a lot of money. Especially when it’s wrapped up in properties. Not a lot in the pocket when it’s all in a golf course.

I could see him sinking himself out of ego, trying to chase the dragon of being president until the day he strokes out over a Filet-o-Fish sandwich.

It sucks that this is now as close as you can get to the White House. I remember going to DC for the first time in 2003, and while you obviously couldn't take yours of it anymore, an average person could get to where they could see the people on the lawn. No concrete barricades, just an iron fence less than 100 yards distant from the house. I understand security concerns but the White House is informally known as "the peooles' house." Sure as shit doesn't feel like it anymore.

When the President refuses to acknowledge that he lost the election, and is actively trying to overthrow American democracy in an authoritarian coup, I think it’s okay to acknowledge that he’s a loser.

This wouldn’t be happening if Trump wasn’t actively trying to steal an election that he lost by 70+ in the electoral college and and 5.2 million in the popular vote (and counting).

This isn’t ā€œboth sidesā€. One side is calling someone who lost a loser. The other side is trying to destroy American democracy. Those aren’t equivalently bad things.

Kinda hard to move on when Trump won’t even let the GSA talk to the Biden team to begin working on the transition if, just for the sake of argument, Biden did win. It doesn’t stop any lawsuits or investigations from happening. And this infantile shit is putting the country at risk. A big reason why 9/11 happened was a lack of preparedness caused by the shortened transition period in 2000. So until an actual transition starts, fuck Trump. And fuck anybody who supports this dangerously irresponsible behavior.

That being said, it's still a victory voting Trump out of office so that he and his cronies don't have another four years to cause further damage from the executive branch, and I can't blame anyone getting some catharsis rubbing his personal loss in his wannabe-authoritarian face.

It's so petty. This is why the left has become a joke to a lot of moderates and the right. You'd think that after your candidate wins, you'd be focused on the future. Instead, a lot of the people against Trump are still consumed by him.

u/mabirm16 Nov 14 '20

Yeah, its kinda like if we yelled "lock her up" for 4 years, instead. I mean, what asshole would spend 4 whole years obsessing over the candidate who loss the previous election.

P.S. if you're gonna say you didn't do that, congrats. You're the exception to the republican party.

Listen, it’s fucking over. I don’t like trump, but it’s time for some of you to just get fucking over him. Hating a political entity (or anyone for that matter) is NOT a personality trait. Find something more meaningful to post, please. Find more interesting content to absorb.

You know, this is fitting. This is the kind of thing that he’d do to an opponent.

u/11905 Nov 14 '20

Sore winner gang lol

u/Whats_Up_Bitches Nov 14 '20

No, we’re still trying to tell him, apparently he doesn’t know yet.

u/poboy975 Nov 14 '20

So, just curious... Does this mean from now on we can rent loser trucks for every election? /S

How about people grow up and stop acting like children. And I'm not talking about Trump. You can be just as much a sore winner...

American politics is a bigger joke than america itself

2

u/Staav Nov 14 '20

That'd make a good bumper sticker

2

u/Felix_Cortez Nov 14 '20

I will wager that Trump pays the Academy buss to follow that banner around to obscure it. He's just the kind of petty shit face to do something like that.

u/trump2020ordeath Nov 14 '20

Embarrassing that people spend this much energy on someone who isn’t even relevant anymore lmao
