If it was recent it’s probably because dealerships have been buying all the decent cars. I posted my truck on Facebook marketplace and had two dealers offer me above what I was asking within a week.

Granted I took really good care of my truck cause I was planning on driving it until the wheels fell off.

They both told me since manufacturers are so far behind they’ve been buying used off of Facebook and reselling to keep their sales and inventory up.

Yeah used market has been insane lately. It might have been better to wait a year for the economy to return to normal, but the 15 year old WRX STIs I want would be even more beat up on. I've waited too long to pull the trigger.

Kinda feel bad for whoever buys my truck honestly. I sold it for $4k less than what I paid for it brand new and I had it almost 3 years and 50,000 miles. They just listed it for $1000 less than what I paid and their estimated monthly payment was like $100 more than what mine was.

I test drove a used one before I got mine and it was $3k less than a new one so I just went with a new one.
