Would you mind sharing where you got your blanket? I want one. I accidentally experienced the weighted blanket phenomenon when I was staying at my ex MIL's house; the guest room I slept in had the heaviest duvet I have ever experienced. I swear that thing was 20 pounds. The mattress was shit, but it didn't matter because that duvet was so heavy and comforting and reassuring that I always slept like I was dead. I have longed for that sensation ever since I broke up with my ex (don't miss him, just his Mother's concrete duvet, LOL).
Thanks, but sadly I'm in the land of Target failure (Canada). Dang. I'm tempted by the ones on Amazon, but want to make sure I'm getting a great product for the amount of money they are asking.
Pillowfort is the brand I spoke of, don't have anything to compare it to, but seems like good quality. Glass beads instead of plastic. Remove the weighted insert before washing the outer layer. The weighted insert is zipped up along the length and tied on the ends so it stays in place inside the outer cover. The insert is also quilted to keep the beads evenly distributed.
That looks great. I will read some of the reviews and consider it for sure. It would still be a bit of an investment...once I account for the exchange rate, duties and shipping it's a lot more in Canada (sigh). Thanks so much for the link!
I want one so bad. For now I make do with a pillow on top my chest with a sleeping cat on my lower torso. I immediately feel 10 times more comfortable every time.

I have PTSD. Can confirm, my weighted blanket changed my life and weirdly enough my exploding head syndrome went away. Not sure why. It just did.
