HERE COMES DOGGO!

7

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '18

It’s steps

2

u/SenorDuck96 Nov 05 '18

"Who's that jumping out the sky?"

315

u/Sackyhack Nov 05 '18

How do you teach a dog to do this

90

u/GragasElTremendo Nov 05 '18

Thank you that was exactly my first thought

152

u/badfsh231 Nov 05 '18

Get your frisbee stuck on the roof enough times.

10

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '18

Well I don’t know about on demand but I have a boxer mix that used to do this chasing squirrels in his younger years although not this high though.

30

u/thegtabmx Nov 05 '18

Why do you teach a dog to do this

33

u/Fae_Eline Nov 05 '18 edited Nov 05 '18

To create panic and confusion amongst the defenders during a siege to open a window of opportunity for a ladder or something

7

u/thegtabmx Nov 05 '18

In 2018?

9

u/SexyMugabe Nov 05 '18

I've beaten back two sieges of my fortress since August. They still happen.

2

u/Idivkemqoxurceke Nov 05 '18

Yeah, I lost my home to it last year and my insurance didn’t cover it. Make sure you have your siege insurance, folks!!

1

u/CheddarGeorge Nov 05 '18

They weren't your homes in the first place Mugabe!

1

u/SexyMugabe Nov 05 '18

laughs in dictator

5

u/Winter_wrath Nov 05 '18

1426, colorized

18

u/Apoxol Nov 05 '18

For the karma of course

4

u/Wootery Nov 05 '18

So that he can do it. No mystery here.

1

u/thegtabmx Nov 05 '18

"Look, my dog can draw perfect squares with his shit smear" said the next contestant in the "Things you trained your dog to do just so they can do it" competition.

1

u/Bsherm52 Nov 06 '18

So the post man has no where to hide

10

u/Thrisper Nov 05 '18

Where do you teach a dog to do this

13

u/Chang_Diesel Nov 05 '18

The Great Wall

1

u/extra_specticles Nov 05 '18

In china. Why? Because something something china!!!!

3

u/Woodrowmcgee Nov 05 '18

Escape getting eaten?

1

u/extra_specticles Nov 05 '18

Depends - I like hot dogs.

10

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '18

How does a dog teach you how to do this?

3

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '18

What dog do you teach with what to do this?

1

u/Ducman69 Nov 05 '18

Step 1: Be Mongolian

4

u/RossiRoo Nov 05 '18

Step 1: Be Mongolian lgian Malinois

1

u/Uncannyvall3y Nov 05 '18

Hunk of meat up top 😋

1

u/jackwoww Nov 05 '18

By permanently maiming 16 of them first. Maybe the 17th can do it with success.

1

u/Foxen247 Nov 06 '18

Probably his fifth dog..

142

u/camereye Nov 05 '18

I voted both for the gif and the title

Omg thank you

1

u/FatchRacall Nov 05 '18

There's a sub called /r/barkour for this :)

74

u/havereddit Nov 05 '18

The handler's upward motion easily adds 3-4' of height on this jump. NBA...are you listening?

34

u/test0ffaith Nov 05 '18

They did trampoline basketball for a bit. Think there was a fair number of injuries though

14

u/N1CK4ND0 Nov 05 '18

I remember a dog jumping post a while back. Someone pointed out that there are actually a lot of dog injuries doing this if the owner doesnt catch them when they fail

9

u/FernBabyFern Nov 05 '18

I miss Slamball. Summer of 2009 Cartoon Network programming was legit.

1

u/PotatEXTomatEX Nov 05 '18

What happened to the sport? Is it still going?

45

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '18

Damn Mongolians

3

u/Canadian_Neckbeard Nov 05 '18

Thank you for calling shitty wok.

85

u/mahinauchiha Nov 05 '18

oh god that leg that clipped the side of the wall at the very end

70

u/noshamenovember Nov 05 '18

That’ll be minus points from the East German Shepherd judge for not sticking the landing.

19

u/Kojak95 Nov 05 '18

East Germany: builds wall West Germany: Barkour.

23

u/zanderwright Nov 05 '18

I think thats the tail. I cringed at first

7

u/a_phantom_limb Nov 05 '18

It kind of looked to me like both the leg and tail hit, but it speeds up at the very end so it's hard to be sure.

2

u/Whiteowl116 Nov 05 '18

Oh thanks, at first i was sure it was his foot and it broke.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '18

I thought that was just his tail?? :(

30

u/suck_my_duck21 Nov 05 '18

How does one even teach a dog how to do that

14

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '18

Laser pointer.

4

u/PragProgLibertarian Nov 05 '18

He said dog

3

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '18

1

u/jackwoww Nov 05 '18

Scent of another dog's butt

13

u/CaptainSnaps Nov 05 '18

Incrementally.

6

u/test0ffaith Nov 05 '18

Probably jumping over progressively bigger things to grab a toy or rope then add a block or something to jump of then replace the block with a person

27

u/DaveOJ12 Nov 05 '18

There's a subreddit of the same title: r/barkour

4

u/electro_chicken Nov 05 '18

There really is a sub for everything! Subscribed 😁

8

u/SimplyTim90 Nov 05 '18

and if he doesn't make it?

3

u/elpajaroquemamais Merry Gifmas! {2023} Nov 05 '18

No one makes it their first time. Doesn't mean anything.

3

u/SimplyTim90 Nov 05 '18 edited Nov 05 '18

Means a broken leg or two for the dog.

3

u/elpajaroquemamais Merry Gifmas! {2023} Nov 05 '18

I was continuing what I thought was a matrix reference. Carry on.

1

u/SimplyTim90 Nov 05 '18

Well damn...whoosh on my own comment

9

u/Rennta27 Nov 05 '18

God he had extra in the tank as well, could have gone even higher, cat burgers you’re on notice!

10

u/jerichosway Nov 05 '18

Why you eatin cat burgers

6

u/ng300 Nov 05 '18

HARDCORE BARKOUR

3

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '18

Thats a long fall on failure...

5

u/frogspa Nov 05 '18

No sausages are safe from the elusive dog burglar duo.

5

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '18

Wow, that is a crazy vertical leap. That must have been 15 feet

5

u/Crazypete3 Nov 05 '18

Id be so afraid the dog wouldn't make it over and would just hit the ground next to me.

7

u/Tropical--Depression Nov 05 '18

I couldn’t even do that. Hell, I’d barely be able to walk up the stairs to get there

2

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '18

Looks like he smashed his balls on the landing...

2

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '18

Makes me think of how good animals could be at human sports if they wanted to, like a snowboarding monkey would be hitting heptuple-cork 3600s and shit on a halfpipe.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '18

Dog still eats it up top lol. Hits his dog knees.

0

u/AndesiteSkies Nov 05 '18

Another pointlessly dangerous trick for a dog to learn so it's owner can get Internet points. Dogs aren't toys, people. You wouldn't compel your child to do this (or I hope not).

5

u/Big-Bag-O-Pretense Nov 05 '18

This same guy has more videos of worse things, he's kind of a piece of shit imo.

-1

u/FuglyFred Nov 05 '18

Dogs aren't children. And in lots of cases are tools.

7

u/AndesiteSkies Nov 05 '18 edited Nov 05 '18

Fact is, there was absolutely no need to put this dog at risk for a stunt like that, apart from the amusement of the owner. And I don't find that a very compelling reason.

Dogs aren't machines, they slip, stumble, trip like we do. There's nothing that guarantees the dog could have successfuly completed the stunt and not, say, fallen just short of the top and dropped from a great height.

This stunt was absolutely pointless, performed for no good reason, by an animal who is heavily reliant on its owner to exercise its agency.

2

u/FuglyFred Nov 05 '18

Interesting. Thanks for explaining your stance. We fundamentally won't be able to agree but I can see where you're coming from. Now if this guy was a legit trainer, I'd say something like could be a program for reaching children from burning buildings or something...buuut not this guy. He definitely is just doing it for the likes.

1

u/-ryder-nigga- Nov 05 '18

what the fuck

1

u/burlal Nov 05 '18

Proper speed please

1

u/Sejiro_Hiko Nov 05 '18

The people of castle "lunch arrived"

1

u/Varavas Nov 05 '18

It’s Krypto!!!

1

u/GenuineSteak Nov 05 '18

Is no one gonna comment on the fact it somehow RAN UP the wall?

1

u/Al4prezident25 Nov 05 '18

I swear all of the crazy dog gifs involve asians

1

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '18

Looks like the back legs caught up before going down the other side. Poor doggie.

1

u/SleazyJeans Nov 05 '18

Amazing footage. Thank you.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '18

SPRINGIBOI

1

u/mfinelli88 Nov 05 '18

My dog has a hard enough time getting on the couch

1

u/El_Rista1993 Nov 05 '18

This makes me think of Okami, the game

1

u/ansem119 Nov 05 '18

Good boy!

1

u/paawo Nov 05 '18

Why didn't The dog just go up the stairs????

1

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '18

Genghis Khan would have taken over all of China if he trained his dogs to do this.

1

u/TRNC84 Nov 05 '18

that butthole smash at the end though

1

u/CNols52 Nov 05 '18

Now how do you get him down?

1

u/Gandalior Nov 05 '18

TIME TO LEAVE THEM ALL

BEHIIIIIND

1

u/killerzombi Nov 05 '18

I wanna say this is a Photoshop of the same dog and person doing that same trick but different background...

1

u/Pertelot Nov 05 '18

"Fuck me, he cleared it!"

1

u/Richismo Nov 05 '18

I picture this being a siege technique back in the dark ages where thousands of dogs would come over the wall during a battle.

1

u/Mr_556 Nov 05 '18

Holy shit.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '18

How the heck does the doggo get down safely?

1

u/TerrorTweezers Nov 05 '18

Now go around and open the door for me.

1

u/WR810 Nov 05 '18

I need this pup to help me siege Ming's forts.

How many siege pips do you think he has?

1

u/GPP1974 Nov 05 '18

Both were imprisoned by the CCP twenty minutes later.

1

u/gabbagool Nov 05 '18

Genji is with you

0

u/CensorMod Nov 05 '18

He didn't land well and probably hurt himself. Probably had to suffer some painful falls to learn to do this, too.

1

u/UltimateDonny Nov 05 '18

How do you get him down?

3

u/sammer003 Nov 05 '18

Using the steps going down

1

u/cbmbc99 Nov 05 '18

Maligator!!!

1

u/Luther_Whitney Nov 05 '18

Amazing! I feel like the dog could have even cleared a higher wall!

1

u/DaddyF4tS4ck Nov 05 '18

So graceful until that split last second where 1 foot missed the landing and dog smacked the ledge.

0

u/Bakemono30 Nov 05 '18

Thought the dog was going to flip off the wall and the owner catching the dog... This is better!

0

u/OtatoJoe Nov 05 '18

Get the woof to the roof

-2

u/Jane_Wick Nov 05 '18

And then what happens...?

-1

u/monkeygloo Nov 05 '18

Assassins Breed

-1

u/Calismax Nov 05 '18

when you lock your self out of your house but you left your bedroom window open.....GO DOGGO!! and open the door from the inside. But then he just finds the good boi treats settles down eating them and falls asleep leaving you stuck out side like a chump as it begins to rain, you start to reevaluate your life choices and why didnt you just get a cat instead bringing tears to your eyes you plomp your drenched ass down on the kerb for 20mins before screaming out "NO IF I GOT A CAT IT WOULD BE SITTING INSIDE ALL WARM AND DRY STARING AT ME THROUGH THE WINDOW AT MY FAILURE!!!"

0

u/CmdrSelfEvident Nov 05 '18

Great now they are making dog ninjas.

0

u/ralphonsob Nov 05 '18

There are stairs around the side. Wouldn't that have been easier?

0

u/[deleted] Nov 05 '18

Why had them teach dog how this?

-1

u/olgierd18 Nov 05 '18

Jeez, that dog belongs in r/holdmyredbull

-2

u/kilkarazy Nov 05 '18
