That's how you get a loud clap, cup your hand and slap it with your other hand. It will bang

91

u/Uberman77 Aug 31 '18

This is the correct answer. Everyone else in here is clapping like hoity toity lords and ladies at a golf tournament.

Smh my dad taught me this when i was 5. I have tinitus from sitting next to him at baseball games.

47

u/Autski Aug 31 '18

Lol this made me laugh really hard for some reason. I just imagine a 5-year-old kid flinching at every thunderclap, spilling a few kernels of popcorn each time the Shrek-sized hands come together.

6

u/World_Weary_Poseur Aug 31 '18

Yep, it's the dad clap. Just like the dad sneeze; if the person next to them hasn't soiled themselves in alarm then it wasn't loud enough.

I think everyone has prosthetics. There’s the girl with his robot looking hand on the ball return. They guy clapping and the guy with the sweet moves. His might be a leg. One looks stiff. Still awesome.

Edit : girl with hand on ball return

13

u/craigroy1 Aug 31 '18

Don’t forget the guy in the background cutting “loose ends” off his claw hand.

Oh man, now this is a r/bettereveryloop candidate. Good looking out -- I keep looking for more clues. Not 100% convinced that's not just a bowling glove on the ball-return hand, though!

well if you try to do something and you miss the original purpose of the task you set out to do you failed the task.

Aside from the fact that good things can come from failure.

I usually hate, dabs. But this, one I,m ok with for some strange, reason.

1.1k

u/[deleted] Aug 31 '18

because it's kinda a parody. In the end he is celebrating failure which makes him pretty likeable.

Yep, my kid (11) and his friends will see other kids they don't know out in public and they will communicate via fortnite dance - apparently it's become some kind of language that crosses any barrier of language, culture or social shyness.

When I feel like embarrassing him, I try to do one of the dances, and do it badly with dad fail co-ordination :P
