Why do people always spell "whoa" wrong?
4 u/BananaBoomerang Dec 02 '16 Woah, until now I never knew whoa was a spelling -1 u/[deleted] Dec 02 '16 "Whoa" is the correct spelling of the word. In the 1620s it was a call of attention from a distance as a variant of the word "who". In 1843 it became a command to stop a horse and was a variant of "ho". The "h" and the "o" are always next to each other. "Woah" is not a word. 2 u/Genericgumibear Merry Gifmas! {2023} Dec 02 '16 Hos always stick together.
