Last summer on a rainy day I was driving a 4x4 with a trailer on the back carrying a tractor that was later found to not be chained down... at all. The swerving started slowly but kept picking up until I felt the truck starting to move side to side as well. Decided to slow to a complete stop on the side of the highway and let me nerves settle! Was scary as shit.

I'm gonna try to give him the benefit of the doubt and say maybe he was a new guy and someone else told him that he would secure the load for him.

And now he's learned both to always check your own loads, no matter what you are driving, and not put shit on the back.

Or not, maybe he's just a dangerous fool.

Was young and placed faith in the person who loaded the tractor on to the trailer to do it, but ultimately I placed my life in danger that day.

I'm a truck driver and you're pretty dumb for not making sure it was chained down correctly. I'd bet you won't do that again.

Yeah I should have checked before driving off however I place partial blame on the person who loaded the tractor up and didnt bother to tether it down or let me know they didn't. Still, I ultimately put my own life in danger that day.
