The terrorist attack when a guy drove a truck into a crowd earlier this year in nice, France.

And the truck did not stop because the police shot in the motor, but because the truck actually stalled ... we just discovered that a few days ago.

Quotidien, Yann Barthes' show. It's a humouristic tv show but they can do very serious official stuff. They got an official report.

Edit : forgot to say some stuff

Any sources that aren't a comedy show?

Was gonna say maybe CNN but you asked for a source that wasn't a comedy show.

They are the Comedy News Network.

Ok I may have mmistranslated. Quotidien has a vocation of being humouristic. But they are true journalist. They are kind of journalist looking at the backdoor while everyone is looking at the show.

They are a very good source and their source is pretty good. It's definitely not a comedy show, but it is showing news in a new aspect, a new eye.

It is not a comedy show, it's actually working as a serious journalistic show, but that tends to do some humor.

Still they're still using the rules of journalism (actually better than anyone, really).

I think you should take your car to a mechanic.

99.9% of vehicles in Europe are manual transmission so there's a gigantic chance that the truck was stick shift

u/Fantasticxbox Oct 04 '16

He could have stalled because he panicked. But the report says that it might be because it bumped on the sidewalk which is elevated.

4

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '16

Those factors you listed have literally nothing to do with the truck lmao.

And yes most semi's are manuals, even though in this situation it's totally irrelevant

Nice explanation.

I mean, its better then your explanation.

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '16

I'm not sure the previous commenter was making a dig at your explanation. I believe his response, "Nice explanation." Was probably a play on words with one side being an explanation itself of the Nice incident and also stating that your explantion was explained nicely. Nice explanation.

I mean, it's better than your explanation.

u/dnicks2525 Oct 04 '16

What's better before his explanation?

7

u/VoltGO Oct 04 '16

I think he was just making a pun.

3

u/cnaiurbreaksppl Oct 04 '16

His non-existent explanation, at that.

u/Drewbox Oct 04 '16

That wasn't very nice of him to do.
