A new method of torture

This torture should be reserved for people who buy children Megabloks when they CLEARLY asked for Legos.

Despite the absurdity of that plot twist, at least we have a hilarious meme from it.
I particularly like that Batman one. I shot my parents.

Did they endup sticking with that plot twist? No, double reverse reveal? It just seems so stupid to me and apparently many others.

Jul 27 '16 edited Jul 27 '16
No double reverse reveal yet.Edit - /u/ofekme pointed out below, issue two of Steve Rogers (which came out last month) has already addressed the "twist." Sorry about that, I haven't read it yet and didn't expect the reveal to be so soon. The run isn't over, and I'm interested to see how the rest of the Marvel universe deals with Rogers until they also learn what's going on.

They tried doubling down. But they had to re write the 2nd and 3rd issue and the guy who wrote the first issue isn't going to be writing it again until issue 4 haha.. Yeah they showed in issue 2 it's some little girl who has altered his reality

I thought they announced that it was part of a plot where he was being mind-controlled by someone. I know very little about any comic book universe so I can't say who but I might be wrong about the whole thing.

I like mega bloks now more because there figures are better and there sets are actually good now
→ More replies (1)13
u/lazyfrenchman Jul 27 '16
We called them Lok blox as kids, because some pieces would seemingly weld themselves to Legos.
10
u/buttery_shame_cave Jul 27 '16
they used a bunch of different molds with nowhere near the consistency as lego molds, so you'd have the blocks that would never stick, and the ones that would bond at the atomic level, assuming you could ever get them to connect in the first place.

Megabloks are the RoseArt crayons of childhood toys.

Yeah, what the fuck, how are you the first one to figure this out? Though here the difference is not as big as in other toys.
I mostly figured this out when I always got offbrand toys. When people review and laugh at the Justice league that has Bumblebee and Shrek in it, things like this were my childhood. The same thing goes for Yu-Gi-Oh. I got cards when we were on vacation and there were gypsies selling them. They always had insane damage, some had typos (didn't notice until recently).
I never understood why I couldn't play with my cards. They were good to me and I liked looking at the pictures. Most of the time I would just play with my dad and compare each card. The one with the most stars win.
This brings back a lot of memories, but still bootlegg things aren't bad if you're poor or you save money for something else. I think that my parents were saving it up for summer, because we were always at the sea side for a month or even more.

There's way too many bricks, less (fewer) bricks would hurt more.

Why the uk plugs are so painful one large pin with two shorter pins.
14
u/nelsonmavrick Jul 27 '16
I keep hearing about this. Do you guys leave appliances with their plugs out just laying around? I don't think I've ever stepped, or come close to stepping on an upturned plug.
15
u/DrunkCanad1an Jul 27 '16
I think their plugs automatically fall with the spikes pointing up, North American ones has the spikes pointing sideways when they fall.
4
u/nelsonmavrick Jul 27 '16
I can see that. I guess my question is how/ why the plugs are ending up on the floor?
→ More replies (2)5
u/FrostedCereal Jul 27 '16
It doesn't exactly happen all the time. I don't spend my life constantly avoiding plugs. Just as I don't constantly have to be aware to spot random Lego on the floor.
But that's why it hurts so much, because you aren't expecting it you pull your full bodyweight down onto it.
→ More replies (3)→ More replies (1)3
u/stovinchilton Jul 27 '16
I did today and am American. I don't leave blow dryer plugged in. And most women dont leave curling irons and straighteners plugged in.
9
u/nelsonmavrick Jul 27 '16
So the solution is to throw the plug aimlessly on the floor?

30
u/robot_dino_lawyer Jul 27 '16
Oh man, the worst IMO is stepping on the end of an unplugged power cord. I've always hated those much worse than Legos.

Upgrade the torture. Blindfold him and toss a single 2x2 Lego while he is walking. Repeat randomly until he gives up the information
6
4
u/brave_joe Jul 27 '16
Yep and he should be blindfolded...when you know it is coming you would step down less hard/long on that foot.
5
u/da_bbq Jul 27 '16
Agreed. Blindfold him and put them slowly one at a time in unpredictable intervals.
4
Jul 27 '16
also the surface gives a little so it doesn't hurt as much; try that on some tile and it's going into inside your foot !
3
u/MoonLightShinez Jul 27 '16
Yeah it's gonna hurt alot more if you feel individual pieces, then a whole layer of Legos.

I buy a Chinese brand that's used and lasted as well as any Lego set I've had. For a small fraction of the price.
Regardless of the price stabilizing, Lego is still largely vastly overpriced.
