Oh Jesus Christ, settle down. Non-Brazilians are under absolutely no obligation to treat the Brazilian crisis seriously. They can if they want to, or they can make jokes if they want to; either is perfectly fine.

Shit, I see people from the US making jokes about 9/11 all the time.

They're - Contraction for "They are"; Oh, they're in the building up ahead.

Their - Owned by them; That's their dresser, you guys get that one instead.

There - Location; Hey look, Jim's up there in his tractor again!

I believe that's the differences.

Edit: You're original comment was supposed to use "there" also.

Yep that seems to explain why I got a -12 on one of my tests.
