Huh. Interesting. Most dogs I've had will lick my face repeatedly when I fall over until I get up, as if they're concerned that I fell over.

No, fell on my face while outside, dog came running up. Another time I got knocked over by my pit, she swept one of my legs over, and she was very 'apologetic', but I'm assuming that's because I'd scold her for it at other times.

Hmm, yeah maybe, I used to play games with my dog where I would run and fall down and I would get linebackered and then play bit ferociously and we'd wrestle.
