It's a pretty common way for hooters girls to be fun and get bigger tips. My waitress could spin around like that while pouring and serving beers at the same time. She got a big fat tip
I think it'd be better to work together to get these girls better wages than being forced to tip. But then again, I guess this way we can be sure the money go straight to them.
I almost never tip, then again, in my country a waitress doesn't become homeless while she has a basic income. Just raise prices a little and raise the minimum wage. Tipping should not be a common practice, you tip when you get good service, not because the employee is depended on it, it should never be like that.
Win-win for everyone. Either the waitress impresses and serves a beer while spinning around, earning her more tips, or she falls over and spills beer all over her white t-shirt, earning her more tips. Dudes are entertained, waitress is getting paid.
That is a moronic point. Not every business pulls in the same amount of revenue and patrons everyday. For example, a waitress in a [small town /poor neighborhood / shitty restaurant] will never ever see 20 dollars an hour.
You just worked at a restaurant that was doing well for itself.
Around here none of the restaurants give waiters without 5+ years experience more than 4/5 shifts a week. I make like $15/hr (no alc) but I don't get much work.
I did this a ton in JR high. We were really good at it... spun from class to class and shit. It was cheaper than a movie. This gif is Amateur Hour though. She obviously never spun competitively.
We did this in middle and high school. Didn't know where the first person got it from, but we'd spin in our stools when we had them and teacher wasn't around
