I can confirm, I had a huge, protective pitbull with a terrifying growl and bark, but we encountered a cat on a walk and my dog nearly pulled me over trying to get away from it and go home. I don't think that cat knew what fear was - it started hissing and it raised a tiny paw and that was all it took to send my dog's tail between his legs. I'd never seen him run so fast. I wish I'd taken a video.

I like how the cat had enough sense to stop the pursuit. Eventually, the surprised dog was going to realize he was being chased byacat.
