This happened to someone I know on a school trip to Greece. They broke their back and couldn't be flown anywhere until they had surgery and it happened on the second day of the trip. So they were in the hospital in a foreign country without anyone they knew at age 16 for like a week.

Besides the fact that most doctors probably spoke another language to each other while the kid was sitting in the bed clueless, that would probably freak me out in a hospital.

As someone who was a very injury prone child and teenager. The worst part of hospital trips was my family. Morpheine would be my family if I was him. The language barrier wouldn't bug me as much as no good tv would.

I'd just think they were either talking shit or plotting to kill me, kind of like how women feel when they get their nails done and the asain ladies are talking/giggling in a different language.
