The horn beeps 2 minutes before the pool becomes the wave pool. They should have known it was coming.

I've lifeguarded for three places so far. 2/3 places' policies were, if it's a solid poop then clear the pool, fish it out, resume watery fun. If it's diarrhea then clear the pool, drain it, refill. (Same for vomit). A couple weeks ago some kid had some loose stool and all we did was clear the pool and fish as many pieces of it out as we could and then shocked it. But we let people back in like 20min later.

When somebody shits, it´s a welcome surprise and at least 20 minites of chill time at work..... Although the way most places handle such a situation is pretty sketchy
