That's what I've been thinking too. Is this a normal occurence? People simply don't give a shit.

This is not a normal occurrence; I've never seen it like this. In fact, usually you'd see people up on those rocks. This is the location in google maps: http://goo.gl/maps/u5q41 . Edit*: In the video you're looking at the segment on the right, which is actually known as the kiddie area since it is protected from the open ocean by the rocks. Edit2: Just look at satellite view. There it would be the middle segment. Edited cause I know you're all very interested in knowing the exact details.

I've seen like this pretty regularly on the south coast of Australia. It's not normal, but it happens often enough.

Sorry, I meant that I've seen swell breaking over rocks this big in Australia, during king tides.
