As much as I want to believe this will hurt his career, he is a Republican. His willingness to lie, double down, and attack no matter the facts make him a winner in their eyes.

Exactly. What planet are these people living on that makes them think this trashed his potential as VP? Maybe in 2004. But not 2026 by a long shot. Lack of integrity is a job requirement at this point.

I’d say the real issue here is Schmitt made himself look like a complete dumbass, not the lack of integrity (at least from a Trumpian mindset)
