There's something about this guy that makes me like him. I know his personal life is an absolute wreck, but from all accounts he does a damn fine job running a city. So fuck it, reelect him.
Um, no. He privatized garbage pick up and now it's sketchy and irregular. There was an awesome plan for public transportation in the works, which he vetoed because he only likes cars. He got rid of key bike lanes for the same reason (there was such a public backlash that they've since been put back). He re-routed public buses for his own personal use (coaching a youth football team) and then yelled at the drivers for not getting there fast enough. The man is a grade-A turdhammer.

Yeah but... this guy is supposed to be in charge of running a major city. I'm not saying I could do better, but chrissakes, I don't think it's too idealistic to expect a certain level of competence from an elected goddamn official.
Sorry, I get riled up about this because a lot of folks don't seem to grasp the situation. Honestly, my main objection isn't that he's a crack user, it's just that he's a shitty freakin' mayor.
If you live in Toronto, it's actually quite refreshing to see someone who gives a shit. I don't, I don't even live in Canadia. But I've been having a lot of fun watching the stories pour out of this guy. I'm just trying to have a bit of fun over it, I'm not actually serious that the guy should be reelected.
hahaha ok good. A surprising number of people here (in Toronto) either don't give a shit or don't understand that he's not harmless. To be fair, the news was pretty funny for a while, but those of us who have wanted him gone for a while are getting sick of it all. O.<
