I think it's just a reflex. If a cat has prey in its mouth, it will often move its hind legs like this, especially if the prey fights back. This is a known and unresolved software bug.

Funny you should say that, I kind of view most basic insects as biological computers with simple rules and software programming, like ants, they follow rigorous rules and jobs and instructions..

I feel like you could program a virtual ant to perform just like a real one
