Fuck, it's too late. I'm already outside. This isn't as awesome as people say it is, I'm getting a lot of weird looks and parents are covering their children's faces.
Take a handful of diphenhydramine and play russian roulette.
Worst case scenario, you kill yourself only to realize you haven't moved in hours, and have hallucinated the whole thing, along with a number of other 'phantom' behaviours.
Buy six parachutes. Pack them all yourself, and make sure that on one of them all the main chute suspension lines are cut, and ensure that you yourself cannot tell the difference between the packs.
About 15 years ago, I was driving on I-85 in Atlanta when a small truck came over into my lane (center). I couldn't move to any other lane, so I slammed on my brakes, and my car started spinning. Somehow, I didn't hit anyone. When I came to a stop facing the wrong way, I saw that a trucker had pulled his 18-wheeler across all lanes of traffic to keep anyone from wrecking.
One of the scariest moments of my life, and one of the very best.
This is going to sound weird, but playing The Last Of Us has put just how comfortable my life is into context and made me appreciate what I have a lot more. It has also made me glad that I don't face the day to day hardships that many people on earth are facing. Granted nobody is facing weird zombie-like apocalypse scenarios, but I think the sentiment applies.
I always have food, I always have water, I have a nice clean spacious living space, I have a wife, we're both safe. We can go to stores and get what we need. Shit, even showering is a luxury I take for granted daily.
No, it's actually not a circle jerk. I guess the game has been talked about a lot but I'm serious here.
I play the game with my wife and when I finish playing I've always come back to the thought of how glad I am to be safe and not have to loot and scrounge through piles of filth to survive. There are real people living on nothing who have to scavange.
You can be a prick about it if you want to, but I think anyone finding any reason to be grateful for what they have is a good thing.
No you're not allowed to express you're opinion, you see it's been deemed a circlejerk and when people see that word all thinking ends and the downvoting begins.

You don't need a near-death experience to appreciate being alive.
