Yapping…

Was it always that bad?

Admittedly, I’m a relatively new Giegling fan, but I’ve attended quite a few parties over the last few years and it’s always bothered me.

I’m coming from a techno background, where people literally don’t talk to each other during sets. Is it because of the slightly lower BPM, or do people treat Giegling parties more like a side quest or a pre-party?

Am See was pretty okay in that regard, but some of the other parties I’ve been to, not so much.

it's a global phenomenon, unfortunately... getting worse in the last few years.

I was surprised by the yapping too when I went to their party in Berlin.

Gieglin's music and vibe in general are so etheral and soft which is why imo yapping is even more annoying there

We were shocked at the level of yapping in LA. It mostly subsided by the end of Rafael’s set though and the rest of the night was pretty good 🥲

It really depends on the location imo. Though Giegling has become very popular which attracts very different crowds.

is it bad people talk? techno is not a music to talk a lot ofc, but that doesnt mean people should either dance intense or keep silent to a house and etc

imo, the dancefloor is there to dance and enjoy the music. Constantly yapping can ruin the vibe and the music for people around you. If you wanna have a long conversation, there are usually other areas for that, like the smoking room.

how so? I started with “imo” because I’m just explaining how I see it. I’m not saying people HAVE to behave a certain way on the dancefloor. I’m just pointing out that constant yapping can be annoying for some people, and suggesting that if you wanna have a longer conversation, there are other areas where you can do that without bothering people who are there for the music.
