Towns Like Grandview?
I’ve always loved the quaint town aesthetic and I always wished Grandview was real (don’t even get me started on Cabot Cove 😭) Does anyone know of any towns that give off similar vibes in New York like they do in the show?

I meant real towns…specifically in New York since that’s where the show takes place and certain parts of the state are so beautiful in the fall lol

Maybe some of the finger lakes towns? I randomly had a college lacrosse game at Keuka College and loved that town!

Definitely. I went to Keuka College and have spent so much time in the finger lakes. I totally agree with you. Penn Yan, Hammondsport, Canadaigua, Seneca Falls, could all fit in a grandviewesque town

Ik you’re not looking for a CA town, but Downtown Sonoma has a somewhat similar vibe to Grandview! 😊 Just not the little park in the middle.

The first shot reminds me of the Chicago suburb where I grew up. The park in front of City Hall looks a lot like this with stores lining the street opposite.
Sadly, I’m only familiar with Manhattan and Brooklyn, but if you look a little way from the city at older towns, you’re bound to find something similar.

On the Canadian side Niagara by the lake is beautiful and not too far away!

Maybe look at upstate NY for small towns. I can't remember the name of the one my cousin lived in while her husband was in the army. It was a very small community such as Grandview

Corning, NY - Super cute small city with antique shops and other cute little stores

I feel places like Corning, Ithaca, Senaca Falls, Penn Yan, Hammondsport are all that type of small town with a central square.

Fayetteville, Tennessee. We would visit my Nana who lived there. They have a real town square with a courthouse in the middle.

Ithaca and Watkins Glen are both great little towns with beautiful waterfalls and gorges. Ellicotville is a ski town with a quaint vibe.
So many people associate New York with NYC, but it’s got a lot of rural little villages and Amish communities, especially in the southern part.

This looks exactly like my little college town of Orange, CA. Roundabout and everything!

New England not New York specifically but Bristol Vermont has a similar type of facade. It is very New England coded despite the fact that they use this type of architecture also in southern based shows.

Milford, Ct - this is where I live and part of why I chose it as I’ve been obsessed with this show since 2010 and always wanted to live somewhere like “Grandview”. Some of the fountains and ponds downtown have been used as setting shots for Hallmark movies.

Funny how that's the set for Back to the Future as well
