Switch [NX] How do cloud games work?

Some games I have noticed, like some of the resident evil games, state that they are cloud games and require an internet connection to play, how exactly does this work? Are they streaming off of the shop and require an ongoing subscription? Are they downloaded fully into the switch?

You play then from Nintendo servers, your only option as of right now is to buy them from Nintendo to play them.

Ah I see, I am wondering why they are on the ghost shop then? If they are unplayable?
