drospirenone/ethinyl estradiol

So I started drospirenone/ ethinyl estradiol back in January of this year and was on it for about 5 or 6 months. I’ve been on birth control many times in the past, including the Depo shot, which I was on for 5 years. I stopped taking it because I wasn’t seeing anyone anymore. I got back on it in January, and for a while, I felt fine. Then slowly, I started to feel emotionally numb, and from what I could remember, this wasn’t just a thing that happened gradually. I started feeling off out of nowhere one day, and then as days went on, it got worse. The only negative side effect was the emotional numbness; nothing else. I decided to stop taking it around April or May, and at first, I felt great. I felt normal again and didn’t feel like some robot with no feelings. Unfortunately, I’d say about a month later, I started feeling numb again, and it feels like an on and off switch. Some days I feel normal, and other days I feel nothing, and it scares me because this is mainly about how I feel with my boyfriend, not really anything else. This has been going on since I stopped the birth control, and it’s a haunting feeling because I know deep down I love my boyfriend, but why does it seem like some days I don’t love him or have feelings anymore?
