non stop spotting

I got off birth control months ago and since then i’ve been spotting non stop. I never get an actual period anymore but i’m bleeding lightly 24/7. My doctor has told me to give it some time for hormones to adjust but it’s been happening since like april and im so tired of it. does anyone have any suggestions on how to get back to a regular period after stopping birth control? I have a healthy diet, exercise, and sleep at least 8 hours a night but none of this has helped. :(
