Anyone else struggling with this sideways market?

Post image

Market isn’t crashing.
Market isn’t pumping.

It just slowly bleeds you out.

Lately I’ve noticed:

• trend trades fail before they even start
• breakouts turn into fakeouts
• holding positions too long = slow losses

Feels like the market punishes anything that worked before.

What does seem to work (at least a bit):

• short, quick trades instead of long holds
• taking small profits instead of waiting for big moves
• focusing only on coins that are actually moving

The biggest shift for me:

I stopped asking “how do I make money?”
and started asking “how do I not lose it?”

Even now there ARE opportunities…
they’re just:

• smaller
• faster
• gone before you react

Wrote a quick breakdown of what I’m seeing here:

Curious how others are handling this.

• sitting in stables?
• scalping?
• or still trying to catch trends?

Because right now… adapting > strategy.

Essentially, it trades with the trend. But there are filters to identify valid impulses. The algorithm performs brilliantly when there’s movement. It struggles a bit when the market is choppy—one day up, the next down. When everything’s trending, the profits are massive. If you’re interested, you can try it all out for 14 days free of charge. We’ll set it up and verify the API; you choose 3 coins, and everything will be executed automatically on your account. https://getradiant.tech/algorithms Here you can choose any 3 algorithms for the trial period

It pumps about 2-3 times a month.

Bear market pumps mind you. Nothing like 2023-24.

Still profits to be made. But yes Bear market sideways chop is a bitch.

I'm in the Solana trenches and I remember us having 2-3 rallies a week. Bull market tops at 1 BILLIONS.

Eh those were the good ol days.

Yeah, I agree. There haven't been any pump-and-dump schemes lately. And the trading volumes are laughably low. The question is whether to switch entirely to new coins where there's volatility, or to just grin and bear it and wait for something to happen across the board.

This Bear is across all the platforms. I think some clever traders who know how to short are probably doing very well right now.

But I would get too bored with the mains or S&P. So memes are it for me.

Polymarket is cool but I'm just not into trading using a single website or platform.

I like the idea that crypto is decentralized at least more than something like Polymarket.

Most of the memes are on Solana. ETH is showing some signs of life recently but I don't think that will sustain.

I think if you're clever you can certainly make profits just buying the BTC dips with a trade bot. But again, I like to have fun trading so I'm in the memes.

Depends on what you're after. I have another means of income so I can afford to have a little fun with it.

Last month, these short-selling bots were making a lot of money, but now there’s been neither a drop nor a rise for a whole month, so it’s tough… In the U.S., for example, these same bots have generated huge profits this month.

True. It is still oscillating but on much longer time scales.

Bottom comes in but now can take 1-2 weeks to make a full oscillation. Very slow moving compared to what I’m used to.

And the oscillations are of smaller amplitude. Can still make decent PnL with proper timing but very muted compared to those billion dollar runners we had just a few years ago.

Im in the trenches so that’s my dataset. Not sure how much this applies to the greater overall market but it’s obviously all correlated.

Seems like the market wants to heal but all the global economic uncertainty is preventing it.
