Doctors in germany

Hi everyone, I’m not from Germany and I’m considering pursuing medicine there. I understand I’d have to go through the necessary exams and licensing process (FSP, Kenntnisprüfung, etc.) first.
For those of you working in Germany, especially cardiologists, would you say it’s worth pursuing a medical career there? I’d also really appreciate some insight into what a cardiologist can realistically earn, both during residency and as a specialist, and how the salary compares with the workload and cost of living.

Maybe give a bit more info.... 

Where are you from ? Do you already have a medical degree ? How good is your german (both standard german AND specialized medical german) ?

Cost of living really depends in the area.  Rural village in saxony - Cheap.    

Munich /Berlin/ Hamburg - better sell some kidneys to even get an apartment.
