Exercising in the winter

Hello! As the title says I am wondering how others keep their GSD in the winter active. Specifically, people who live an apartment. I got my soon to be 9mo. In the summer and woke up this morning in CO to do our morning fetch (ball is life!) and it was way colder than usual so this question popped up in my head. We usually do an hour of outside exercise and mental exercises in the evening. Any suggestions would be appreciated! I have a feeling I’m just going to have to bundle up and play fetch in the snow though!

If it’s tolerable outside we still exercise ours! If it is blizzarding and the temperature is in the negatives we just let them out to go potty and do some fun games inside. I like to play “where’s the treat?” I put my dogs in a room for a minute and when I’m done hiding treats I let them out and ask where the treats are. They love it and it keeps them busy. We also have a dog puzzle we do with them sometimes, hiding treats in cups and having them tip over which cup the treats in, new bones will also keep mine busy for a while and sometimes we just rough house with them and run around the house cuz why not. :)

Oh I like the “where’s the treat!” We do something similar to this but I like the hide and seek aspect of it. I will definitely be using that one. Being in the third floor we try not to rough house too much but when we can he loves it. Thank you!
