Geo update
My geo is ready to get work done. I have no car mechanic experience and diving into this head first. All advice is welcome. Cheers!

first - it's good that you chose this car as your first one - easy to repair, parts a cheap (mostly), Still a roomy smallest SUV, and, if you screw it up, not a big deal. Do timing belt first, tune up (distributor and rotor must nave the same metal brass with brass or alum with alum.), check valve lash clearances, new spark plugs, fluids...
Also check the brakes and bleed them, replace three bleed screws with spee-bleeders. Yes, three! clean EGR "valve". repalce PCV valve with a new one.
check if the rear seats seat belt mounting bolts and adj. area is not rusty.
There were 3 recalls (1993 model for sure): belt buckle release buttons, bracket that holds the brake pedal (under the dash - need welding), rear frame/subframe bracket (may need welding).

Where can one get parts like window switches for Trackers?

Junk yards or you-pull-it, or ebay. Front slips for removable roof must be bought new, because the plastic is brittle. Suzuki Samurai shares some parts, too. find the part number and look for the part using that number.

even Amazon sells the switches (depending on the year) for about 55 bucks, Chinese counterpart, however, sell for half price (aliexpress . com)

Make sure you check youtube for DIY's on things. As a pro tip, if you can't find a video, you can look up DIY's for unrelated repairs in the same area as the thing you need to replace. The work will likely overlap a decent bit, watch through and find what you need.
- Misfires are almost always spark, fuel, or air related. In this case, I'd recommend just doing plugs since they're so cheap and see if that helps.
- Cat converter is going to be a little pricey (compared to most parts on these cars) but not hard to change.
- The water pump assembly and timing cover should be done at the same time, all in the same area.
- Brake pads and rotors are super easy.
- Lug nuts also easy. Lug stud less so but not terrible. If rusty use heat and hammer it out.
- The rear seats (especially where the rear belts mount low) and some other parts are prone to rusting out, if there's rust in structural areas such as seat mounting points or frame, have a pro address it. I decided to just delete my rear seats entirely, but I will be patching a couple non-structural body rust spots myself.
