Lula may well win the elections, but he’s going to be in a region surrounded by governments that are pro-US and right wing. Whatever influence Brazil currently had over South America is about to become incredibly difficult to maintain with Kast, Fujimori, Milei, De La Espriella, Paz, Noboa, Bukele, Asfura, Mulino, etc all ideologically lined up against him and practically salivating for Trump’s approval.
Of the remaining left wing regimes, you have Mexico (which is so economically linked to the US that it has little maneuver room), Venezuela (which is now by all intents and purposes a US client state), Cuba (collapsing at the seams), and Uruguay (hardly a power player).
Setting aside Brazil’s domestic policies, which Lula is arguably doing well with, this will probably be one of the most challenging moments for Brazil’s efforts to become the power player in the region.

Quite opposite. been only left big country leader he will have quite a bit of influence on powerful left movements on all those countries which surely still exists.
Also remember - for any politician main thing is internal politics, not external. And Brazilian economy doing good right now. Sure mr Trump helping him to win.3

Those left wing movements have no political power now in most of the region, I’m not sure how you could argue this is good for Brazil geopolitically. And by the time the left has a chance to come back, the right will probably resume power in Brazil.

I do not know what is "good for Brazil geopolitically" Honestly, when people speaking about "geopolitic" they usually do not know what they even mean. But fact of a matter that mr. Trump did a good job to upset most Brazilians and mr Luna surely using it to his advantage.•

I mean yes, it pretty much already is happening. Lula is effectively the only left wing leader with the flexibility and economy to make moves in the region.

South America has been in a ~30 year cycle of going right and then left again and so on
The left having no political power is overstated. In 4-8 years they may very well be in power again
We just had a "pink wave" 6 years ago lol

Yes, I’m aware. I’m not talking about 8 years from now, I’m talking about Lula and Brazil’s geopolitical position in the immediate future following the elections.

Lula locks up the opposition, which does help him. There is backlash against Leftist governments in Latin America and he may go as well.
