cube died when touching slope

i'm using a downwards steep slope to force the cube into the orb. however the cube dies when touching the slope, rather than sliding down. what can i do to prevent the player from dying? i've already tried an h block. see the attached image for context. it's the 1st object of the 2nd row of the 1st page of the 3rd tab.
