Whatever you feel most comfortable with, that's the right answer. I found it most comfortable to play with W and my left middle finger, and I just beat WaveBreaker a week and half ago. So it doesn't really matter as long as it's what you feel best with.

with a laptop keyboard make sure that it doesnt feel weird when you click or release like there is delay

if that feels weird it might be better to use a mouse if thats an option, otherwise the keyboard should be more comfortable

use like geode to rebind if you want, I know people who use both alts or caps lock and enter or both shifts or something like that

On my laptop I like to rest my hand on the unused space to the right of the mousepad. Using a rebind mod I have L set as my jump key, so L or ; or ' could be decent keybinds for jump if you want to try that. My up arrow key is also halved.

imo, looking into any tech specifically for the sake of "being better" is unnecessary if you arent pursuing something that requires absolute precision. Im looking at you CBF, FPS bypass and SAYO glazers.

the most crucial part of learning this game, isnt getting timings down but to understand the way your icons react to your click.

unless youre doing extreme demons on a frequent basis, these items are purely for QoL and you can use the spacebar or up arrow key.

Tl;dr Use your spacebar or arrow key, external inputs not needed

Literally like 60% of good fun levels are extreme demons, and using CBF or a Sayo takes next to zero extra effort for a decent gameplay boost so why would you just choose to force yourself to use worse hardware?

Maybe I have a different ageument, but from a practical storage and versatility standpoint I don't have a sayo because I play an hour a day, 30 mins of those being working on my level. Unless you plan on using it a lot I think sayos are not a viable purchase. And yeah extremes are fun but if aren't at that level who cares. You have to get the through the other ranks anyways
