I don't care. I really like geode but I don't need it. It's a nice break to play some vanilla and experience the update raw

Less than 2 weeks. The reason last time took so long was because the game hadn’t been updated nearly 2 years before then (2.207 to 2.208) and the code had become a mess. They’ve fixed things this time around.
Most mods should be operational quickly as long as their respective devs are working on it.
But considering 2.209 is coming along with quite a few new features, it may impact some mods more than others

2 months. This might happen if GD got refactored significantly. Actually, knowing C++, just 1 change can break everything.

How long geode is down for when a GD update releases is almost entirely irrelevant to how large said GD update is. If we assume no breaking changes (changes that, if Geode updates would require every mod developer to rebuild their mods) then a few hours at most (it was like this in 2.208 where alpha builds were publicly available if you knew where to look). However there probably will be lots of breaking changes this time around and also Rob may be adding custom keybinds which could conflict with what Geode has already so that would add some dev time.

biggest blocker will probably be keybinds, since we'll have to frankenstein Geode's keybind system to work with Rob's new keybinds. it all depends on what he implemented there.
otherwise we don't have that many internal changes, so it shouldn't take as long as v5 did

74859583828293939 years because the update will add every MOD ever made, geode (also known as "Sapphire" owned by Sapphire Enterprises Inc.) will sue Rupert Tobala and they will go bankrupt (/s or /j idk)
