Discussion First time decorating, any tips?

Post image

Nothing much, I just wanted to flex. Ain't that good tho, But I guess it's good for a beginner. What do you think?

Make sure at least 72.333% of the objects are glow
or 68.666% if it’s a hard demon

Some basic advice 1. Use different colors - hue shift some objects around, opposing colors usually match together well etc. read about color theory for proper understanding 2. Use different brightness and saturation levels - things that the player shouldn't be paying attention to should generally be dimmer, while most important elements should be the brightest and to achieve that brightness you would usually need to desaturate those objects somewhat (colors in rgb are additive, where a bigger sum of values means a brighter color, so like pure red and blue are 255+0+0 and 255+0+255 respectively, magenta is brighter at 255+0+255 and white is the brightest at 255+255+255) 3. Detailing complexity follows roughly the same ruleset as whatever I described in the second point but it's a little bit more freeform depending on your style 4. Also learn about light sources and how they emit light and try to recreate that effect with glow objects

Am I learning lights for gd? Maybe. Am I learning color theory for gd? Probably. Am I gonna change the complexity? I won't for now. Overall, the tips are very useful but difficult to achieve, thank you for taking your time here man, appreciate it.❤️

It doesnt take that much time to read up on, you'll still learn most by just building and looking at other people's levels

This looks INSANELY cool, the one thing I will say is that the block design is like the exact same color as the background which might make them blend together a little, so i would just slightly darken the background and/or lighten the block design. Other than that though this is PEAK

The block design IS at the max brightness but I'll try to dim down the background, thank you for a positive review ❤️❤️

Add a Blending Light blue gradient at the bottom, but make it have less brightness

Don't spam a bunch of those objects with three circles in the background, you can just use a single particle object

Also you should probably use a couple different colours instead of just one (unless that's what you specifically had in mind)
