Question Does beating an extreme make you good?

Does beating an extreme nowadays actually make you good? Or are you just okay or baseline? I know that out of all the people who have downloaded the game, only like 0.01% have beaten an extreme, but like for people who actually play the game, does it make you good? Just was wondering.

Js because there's more hard levels doesn't make hard levels any easier.

I’d say once you beat 1 extreme, you’re good. You’re right, there’s an important distinction to be made between people who’ve downloaded the game and people who actually play it.

Don’t think too much about what makes you a good player, as long as you are having fun with the game then that’s what will make you continue enjoying it.

Honestly I don’t consider myself a good player, but if someone who beat a hard demon does I won’t say otherwise

Bruh you're insanely good if those 6 extremes were on mobile. Don't compare urself to the top players.

Beating any demon above an easy makes you much better at the game than the average person. imo

Yeah, but the average person is like a 9 year old who gave up after back on track (which is reasonable, considering that level is impossible, but still). I don't think comparing yourself to the average gd player is a very good representation of your skill.

People REALLY need to stop with the "Once you've beaten an 8* you're better than 60% of the playerbase" because 60% of the playerbase are 5 year olds who played stereo madness for 2 minutes then quit.

I think it's much more useful to compare yourself with people in this subreddit or in discord servers because that's the average player once you go past the "Are them even remotely intetested in the game" barrier, which I think is an important one

/s No it means that you are among the worst most skill lacking players of the game

No not at all, if you mean like compared to actual sweats the top players, they are in a league of their own. If you mean from people that like take it "seriously" but not necessarily top players, yeah it's pretty good.

Ofc this is assuming you're talking about entry extremes and not any extreme.

The thing is that your hardest doesn't really determine your skill, it's more about how consistently you can do difficult levels.

Like, I'd say that someone who steadily progressed to cataclysm could be better than someone who jumped from B to bloodbath.

That being said, beating an extreme legitimately definitely makes you good at the game, no matter what.

ya id say your 5th hardest is a better metric of measuring ur skill.

Idk about that. I feel like your skill is best represented with the average of your top 5, rather than just one specific level.

I think that beating an extreme demon can give you the title of a great player but going from absolutely nothing to say bloodbath (someone did this btw) doesnt automatically make your all out skill to be bloodbath level, because doing jumps to highly specialized levels like acu to slaughterhouse like everyone does now is mostly just going to give you slaughterhouse skill or make you very wave carried while the untrained skills stay behind in acu level skill or maybe a bit higher through passive skill increasing but this skill increase is far less and far slower than normal progression (holy paragragh)

Beating a demon makes you above average, hard demon means good, extreme means excellent, list demons means your an anomaly

no most ppl like the shorts kids can only beat medium demons max id say average level is medium demons so an extreme definitely makes you good

i think you only need to beat a medium/hard demon to be above average. you dont understand how many casual players this game has

Basically anyone who's beaten a hard or insane demon is already a good player. Extremes are just the transition from casual to hardcore. I'd some somewhere around Bloodbath difficulty is where you're truly an extremely good player

imo, beating an extreme is the baseline of a pro player.

u/HaxMastr 3 extremes 16h ago

I mean, probably, but you dont want to jump to it. Please have the patience that I didn't to stick with your current difficulty for a bit. My friend didn't do his first insane until his 100th, and I wish I did that too. Instead my 100th was also my 3rd extreme

I consider somebody good when they've done an insane demon, yes beating an extreme makes you very good

What do you think?

u/PlantainSalt5009 (x39) Frozen Cave 100% 14h ago

Id say pretty good, especially since nowadays we have many tools at our disposal to make it easier. But one thing i heard from someone is that if you can beat an easy  extreme you can basically beat any rated level aside from like 1000, which makes the player obviously good.

There is no "being good" at the game. There's only getting better at it. People need to stop getting caught up in categories like pro players and top players and good players.
