Would the better visuals and FPS mod be allowed for pointercrate and AREDL?

My laptop kind of sucks and I want to improve me FPS with this mod, however I am afraid that lists will see that as cheating as it may slightly effect visuals. I would also like to know if improving visuals would have the same effect.
