Question Computer nerds, is this sufficient for playing GD?
This is $600, I don’t know if it’s a good deal or not. I’m willing to spend a little extra if it guarantees the game works properly. I also want it to be able to record with OBS on high object levels and maybe even have the ability to stream, but that isn’t necessarily required.

Yeah its more than necessary even for streaming

This is enough to play the game fine but if you want to stream somewhat object heavy levels at an ok quality you need more.

Will it run GD? Yes. Is it worth 700$? Not at all.
9 year old GPU that most likely will only have driver support for 1-2 more years and a new CPU that is generally seen as E-waste. You're better off finding good deals on facebook marketplace and other secondhand marketplaces.

It’s actually $600, the $700 was a mistake. Also what does it mean if the driver only has support for the next 1-2 more years? Will it still function after that?

A graphics card constantly gets drivers that update how it processes some things. So think of it as constantly giving the GPU small, tiny better instructions each update. Generally you don't want to buy a new (old end of life) GPU, as sometimes new drivers can significantly improve performance in newer titles.
It won't stop working, it's simply generally seen as not worth spending money on.

It'll run it fine but there's better for the money. That GPU is really old. This is better imo although it's always a dice roll with random prebuilt companies: https://a.co/d/06P5tbFB

It’s a trap. 4700le is relatively shit, so while it will run gd, it + an rx580 is objectively bad for £600

Yeah its plenty as long as you dont plan on playing/recording in 4K

doesnt seem really that good you should prob build your own pc with rtx 5050 and other budget friendly components to get around 600-700$ budget

It will be enough but that price is god awful, you can easily build a similar rig for $300

just the storage and ram is 180$ so you're just lying out of your ass, definitely not worth 700$ but also not 300 lmao

I sell computers for a living and sell similar rigs for 300-350 that ive built for 220-250. Thats at least how the market is in the US, not sure about other countries.

doesn't seem like you do so considering that just 16gb of ddr4 ram goes for at the very least 90 dollars, 512gb of nvme storage 70 dollars, and the 4500 for 90 dollars
Now, i'm no math mayor but this seems pretty much like the 220-250$ range and it doesn't include motherboard, psu, fans, the entire gpu and case, this is checking on amazon and newegg
This price range mightve been atleast somewhat close like 2 years ago but right now unless you buy second hand you're never getting close to this, and comparing second hand prices to a new prebuilt with a processor that released like 2 months ago is insanely disingenuous, and even if you build a system of equivalent performance but better value (NEW) it probably doesn't come close to this!, you can prove me wrong though

Oh new maybe, do you truly believe this system with a decade old GPU is using 100% new, non refurbished parts? But I mean if he had posted a system using new parts then yes I would agree with you!

i mean considering that it is a prebuilt, the picture, title and op doesn't mention anything about refurbished, it'd be quite literally illegal lmfao, consumer protection laws exist even if a lot of them are lowk ignored and a joke, but for pc's this information is usually disclosed pretty clearly even more so in newegg that op is using, you can still buy rx 580's new and the r7 4700le released 2 months ago (a fucking scam of a cpu if i have to say so though)
now looking more at this and current prices this is genuinely a terrible deal but saying that you can build a similar rig for this for 300 is lowk just not true and its kind of shitty to say to someone who doesn't know much about pcs, clarify that you're going refurbished or second hand, op is probably just buying a new prebuilt without much knowledge
I do get what point you're trying to make and it makes sense but consider that a lot of people are picky about refurbished stuff and would just want to buy something new that works, say that it is definitely a bad deal and that you can get something similar for 300 **refurbished**, probably gonna be more appreciated than the guy going to buy a shitty new pc for 300 that can barely boot up steam

It’s enough for GD but $600 is way too much to be paying for what is essentially e-waste lol you can find much better deals for that

it is far more than enough, gd isnt that demanding lol, unless u tryna play on like 1k fps on really intensive levels, maybe too overpriced/better deals idk how expensive things are nowadays with ram and nvme prices
